I am a licensed California acupuncturist. I graduated summa cum laude from the four year master’s program at Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA, ranked second in the nation for Chinese Medicine. After graduating, I became a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine through NCCAOM. I then went on to earn my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College. I have also interned at the prestigious Disney Cancer Center in Burbank, California. My undergraduate degree is in English Literature from UC Berkeley.
Along with acupuncture, I have studied Chinese herbal medicine extensively. I have worked as a pharmacy technician for the Emperor’s College herbal pharmacy, teaching students about the herbs and facilitating a hands-on experience of making herbal formulas. I also assisted a renowned Chinese Medicine practitioner, Dr. Xiuling Ma, for three years in her private practice.
I chose to study Chinese Medicine because of my interest in traditional nutrition and natural forms of healing. I specialize in Classical Chinese and Korean acupuncture. I appreciate the philosophies of Eastern Medicine and I regularly study the ancient medical books to further my understanding.
